The Supporters of Sue Ryder A Team was made up of Victoria Tommey, Liam Davis, Adam Naylor, Dan Hudson, Oliver Samways, James Workman and Aimee Carter.

The Supporters of Sue Ryder B Team was made up of some of the younger swimmers, Gemma Barwell, William Carter, Kieran Naylor, Ollie Fell , Jordan Lee and Sam Gaskins.

Poolside direction and organization was provided by Sarah Samways. The two teams where given a target of beating last years Sue Ryder B total of 142 lengths swam in the 45 minute time slot.
An enthusiastic start by all at 1.20 pm produced the following splits.

Mins ----5-10-15-20-25-30-35
SR-A - 19-37-55-73-91-109-127
SR-B - 17-32-48-64-79-95-110

With 10 minutes to go it was becoming apparent that the S of SR A had the opportunity to break last years total and get close to one of the highest scores recorded some 20 years ago. The swimmers in the B team had mainatained pace to equal the 2008 tally.

As the seconds ticked away the cheering from the parents and the encouragement between the swimmers led to a fantastic final effort with the claxton sounded with

The A Team reaching an incredible 165 completed lengths and the B Team reaching and beating last year figure with a total of 144 completed lengths. These two distances claimed the top two places of the day.

Both teams were jubilant with their efforts. This was a great event well supported by swimmers and parents alike, with special thanks to Sarah Samways for organising the event and the swimmers who raised £675.
