It comes on the back of Sport England’s ClubMark. As a single, national standard, Clubmark gives sports clubs of all types structure and direction. It recognises nationally and regionally the clubs that are committed to providing safe effective and quality services for the benefit of their members.
Swim21 Accreditation is the ASA’s 'Quality mark' based on ClubMark, as the ASA’s Club development model, it is a planning tool based on the principles of Long Term Athlete Development, enabling clubs to help athletes, teachers, coaches and administrators to achieve their full potential.
Clubs awarded Swim21 & Clubmark see many tangible benefits including: Continuous Improvement, Funding, better Facilities, Developing Coaches and volunteers, links with schools, raised profile and Club Development.
Not forgetting the most important reason of all - the positive impact Clubmark has on the way in which clubs think about and provide for young people!!
Congratulations Gloucester City Swimming Club, swimmers, coaches, committee and all volunteers for all playing a part in this very prestigious accreditation.
