Division 5 is a particularly strong division, and as such, even to be selected is a considerable achievement.
Sophie Brown was selected to swim the 100 Fly, and to compete in the Intermadiate age-group medley relay team. Sophie swam 64.90 in the Individual event to win a National Schools bronze medal. Her time was just a 10th of a second off her PB, which at this time of the season was a great swim, especially when tired after so much recent racing.
Her relay team did even better, winning a National Gold medal and in a British Schools record time. The team beat the old record by two seconds in the heats, and then a further two seconds in the final.
